Columbia County UPSEU members loudly and solidly ratified their new 2018 four (4) year agreement by 92% of the votes cast.
The UPSEU negotiating team put forth a comprehensive four (4) year package to their members that included enhancements in numerous areas and contained no concessions for current workers. "We were able to maintain health insurance coverage with no increases in the co-pays" said Chief Negotiator Kevin E. Boyle, Jr., "and attain some significant increases in longevities and health insurance buyouts."
A world of thanks to the UPSEU negotiating team members Cindy Tipple, Chief Unit Officer, Pat Abitabile, Assistant Unit Officer, Lisa DiStefano, Assistant Unit Officer, Betty Bednar, Chris Inman, Barbara Stedge, Don Coons, Tom Elliott, Josh Campeta, Mark Wendelken, MaryEllen Madison, Jane DeGennaro, Kate Dunst and UPSEU Labor Relations Representative Mike Kutski and Regional Coordinator Kathy Wright-Muzio.
The next and final step is approval by the Board of Supervisors at their June meeting.
