UPSEU Scores Overwhelming Victory Over MEIU in Mansfield
By an 8 to 1 margin, the thirty-five member Custodial Unit for the Mansfield Board of Education voted to join UPSEU in a CSLRB election held on March 21, 2008.
After many years of MEIU representation, the unit felt it needed stronger representation in the workplace. After meeting with UPSEU representatives, the employees determined that UPSEU was the union for them.
This victory makes the 11th unit to vote to join UPSEU in Connecticut over just the past 45 days.
