The members of the Plainfield Police Department voted unanimously to accept the newly negotiated UPSEU/COPS Division agreement which included several substantial gains for the Plainfield Officers.
Among several language changes, the contract included substantial wage increases with additional adjustments for Senior Officers.
Clearly, the officers of the Plainfield Police Department, with the assistance of UPSEU's Craig Manemeit secured a collective bargaining agreement that they can be proud of.
"This was a very beneficial collective bargaining agreement for everyone involved. The officers are now able to enjoy competitive salaries while keeping their healthcare costs to a minimum," said Ronald Suraci, UPSEU/COPS Director.
The bargaining agreement also included increases in clothing allowance, life insurance benefits, attendance bonus and changes in the college degree incentive to include all degrees obtained by the officers.
