The Waterbury BOE Classroom Assistants/Transportation Aides and the Waterbury BOE Secretaries/IT Employees voted overwhelmingly in two (2) separate secret ballot elections administered by the State of Connecticut Board of Labor Relations on February 27, 2014 to leave CSEA/SEIU and join UPSEU.

Both units comprise a total of 124 employees that will now be UPSEU members as a result of this election!  Matt Geer, UPSEU Labor Relations Representative, stated, “CSEA/SEIU only received 2 total votes out of a possible 124 employees.  These vote results send a strong message to the Administration that these employees will no longer be taken for granted as they previously were with CSEA/SEIU at the helm.  Now with UPSEU leading the way, these employees will be properly represented in the workplace day in and day out.”
