After years of representation by SEIU Local 200United, Western NY OTB Supervisors decided they needed a higher level of representation. After learning of UPSEU's work in assisting other SEIU Local 200United members, the unit reached out to us for help.

After a hard fought election campaign, the 48 member unit voted to join UPSEU in a PERB election. UPSEU Executive Vice President/ Regional Director Gary M. Hickey spearheaded the campaign. Two other units in the region currently represented by SEIU Local 200United are now in the process of voting in PERB elections, with ballots to be counted in early January.
