The officers of the Clinton Police Department UPSEU/COPS Division unanimously voted to ratify a new four year agreement.

"It took some time to achieve this agreement," stated UPSEU/ COPS Regional Director Ronald Suraci. "We made some major changes in shift bidding, scheduling, and order-in procedures that work for both the officers and the department. Our members were patient and it certainly paid off. We were able to increase wages, longevity and the education incentives, while maintaining a strong collective bargianing agreement. It could not have happened at a better time, as once the contract was approved by the town, our members were able to receive a retroactive check just in time for Christmas," Suraci concluded.
