We are so proud that UPSEU Southington Para-educators and district staff were able to raise $1,100 and 23 boxes of food for our local charity, Bread for Life! Bread for Life provides home-bound meals for local residents, a lunch program that is served Monday through Friday and an expanded Senior Services program that includes all residents of the Southington Housing communities. They also collaborated with the Southington Board of Education, the school Breakfast Program and a summer program to provide food to children in low income neighborhoods. Their Mission, “That No One May Go Hungry” is a worthy one and we have been happy to play a small part in that endeavor for the past five years. We are so grateful to the Southington School District for their continued support and for the coordination by Michelle Passamano, Executive Assistant to Assistant Superintendent Steve Madancy. Please check out Bread for Life at southingtonbreadforlife.org to learn more and see how you may also help out!
