In two (2) separate secret ballot elections conducted by the Connecticut State Board of Labor Relations on Tuesday, February 9, 2016, members voted to join UPSEU.
The Town of Trumbull DPW Supervisors voted unanimously to leave AFSCME and join UPSEU.
In addition, the Ridgefield BOE Custodians/Maintenance Employees, comprised of 52 members, voted to leave AFSCME and join UPSEU.
Matt Geer, Regional Coordinator, stated "both units had the opportunity to personally witness UPSEU working for their members as UPSEU currently represents numerous units in Trumbull and Ridgefield. I commend these hard working men and women for taking a stand by seeking better union representation. The members ultimately voted for UPSEU to make that a reality."
We welcome both the Trumbull DPW Supervisors & the Ridgefield BOE Custodians/Maintenance Employees to the UPSEU family!
